Terms of Service

SEG Fit is a personal training journal at segfit.com, operated by Slack Enterprise Group LLC, a New York limited liability company (“we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between you and us for use of the app. By creating an account or using SEG Fit, you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not use the app. You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract.

Health, risk, and no medical advice

SEG Fit is a training journal, not a medical service. It does not provide medical, health, diagnostic, or professional advice, and nothing in it replaces a qualified professional. Exercise and changes to diet carry inherent risks, including serious injury. Before starting or changing any training or nutrition programme, consult a doctor, and stop and seek medical help if you feel unwell. You use SEG Fit, and you train, entirely at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for exercising safely and within your limits. To the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to the exceptions in the Liability section below, you assume the ordinary risks of exercise and release us from claims arising out of your own training decisions or your reliance on general information in the app.

Your account

You sign in with your email; there is no password. Anyone who can open a sign-in link sent to your inbox can reach your account, so keep your email secure. Your account is for you alone, and you are responsible for keeping your email secure and for the activity you carry out under it. This does not make you responsible for problems caused by us or by the service itself.

Acceptable use

Use SEG Fit only for your own lawful, personal training records. Do not attempt to break, overload, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the app or to anyone else’s data, and do not upload unlawful or harmful content.

Your content

The workouts, plans, meals, measurements, feedback, and settings you enter stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them to provide the app to you, and as needed to secure the service or to meet a legal obligation. You can edit or delete your entries at any time, and export or delete your account, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Early access and availability

SEG Fit is offered free and as an early, invite-only preview, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. It may contain errors, features may change, and the service may be interrupted or, with reasonable notice where practical, discontinued. Please keep your own copy of anything important; you can export your data through your account settings, and we will aim to let you export before any planned discontinuation.

Suspension and closing accounts

You can stop using SEG Fit and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account if it is used in breach of these terms, if it poses a security risk, or where the law requires. Where it is practical and lawful, we will give you notice and a chance to export your data first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will ask you to agree to the new version before you keep using the app. For minor changes, we will update the date above, and continued use means you accept them. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is a notice rather than a contract you sign.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for our gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for fraud, and your mandatory rights as a consumer are not affected. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows: SEG Fit is a free personal tool provided without warranties; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, for lost data, or for injury or loss resulting from how you choose to train or from information you enter; and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, and disputes will be handled by the courts located there, except where the law lets you bring a claim where you live.
